University of Maryland Professor of Computer Science Ben Shneiderman visited Rensselaer on February 17-18, 2010, for the Vollmer W. Fries Lecture and meetings with faculty and graduate students in LL&C, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, and Information Technology and offered an inspirational vision of the social uses and applications of new media technologies and a challenging agenda for research, design and social action for the next two decades and beyond.
